50th Reunion: Class of 1974

Celebrate your 50th Reunion with fellow Class of 1974 graduates in Lowell this May! We will welcome you and your classmates from Lowell State and Lowell Tech back for a wonderful weekend of reconnecting with friends and exploring UMass Lowell and beyond. 

This event culminates with your class leading this year’s Commencement processional march in gold robes, a highlight of the weekend for many!

Thursday, May 9

• 50th Reunion Check-in: 10 a.m.
• Faculty Showcase: 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  The 2024 U.S. Presidential Election No One Wants (But, is it the one we deserve?)
  Moloney Hall, University Crossing 220 Pawtucket Street, Lowell.
  Hear from chair and faculty member of the Political Science Department, Professor Joshua Dyck about some of the issues and policies voters will focus on that could impact the 2024 presidential election. Engage in an intriguing discussion and enjoy a lunch buffet.
  
• Campus Tours: 12:30- 2:30 p.m.
  Bus transportation will be provided from and to University Crossing.
  
• Explore UML & the City: Evening on Your Own

Friday, May 10

• Day Trip to Labelle Winery/Tour & Tasting: 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  14 NH-111, Derry, N.H.
  Enjoy a guided tour of Labelle Winery and their sparkling wine production. You can sample six wines during this experience. Participants receive a complimentary commemorative wine glass. You can purchase snacks and a light lunch at the LaBelle Market where you can purchase their wines, healthy food options, freshly brewed coffee creations, and decadent treats that are affordable, healthy and convenient. Limited space available. Bus transportation will be provided from and to the Hilton Garden Inn Tewksbury Andover.
• 50th Reunion Dinner: 5-7:30 p.m.
  Hilton Garden Inn Tewksbury Andover, 4 Highwood Drive, Tewksbury, Mass.
  You will enjoy a cocktail reception, dinner, music and more with former classmates and friends. During the reception, we will take class photos of you and your classmates! Parking is available at the Hilton Garden Inn Tewksbury Andover. 

Saturday, May 11

• Commencement Ceremony: 8 a.m. – noon.
  You will relive your graduation 2024-style as you lead the Commencement processional march in special gold robes. You’ll be recognized as Golden Alumni during the remarks. Guests are welcome to watch you march in Commencement. Breakfast and parking will be available at the Tsongas Center.
